The Dress

I had this silk dress custom made and I absolutely loved it. I would hate to see it sit in my wardrobe and never be worn again. I was after something very simple but still feminine. I had the lace on the shoulders and the open back as the main features of the dress. Beading could easily be added to the lace. This was an option that was offered to me but I chose to keep it simple.

The dress is pure silk and felt amazing to wear. The French lace on the shoulders is attached to an elastic strap and has a tulle backing. The lace runs down the side of the dress and tapers off at the back. The dress has a small train and a bustle so that the train can be bustled up for later in the evening. The dress travels well and I just steamed out the creases the night before the wedding.

I am 178cm and normally a size 10-12. I was wearing 6cm heels on the day. The bust was padded. I am a B cup but the dress could fit a B-C cup.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is stored in the bridal bag.
