The Dress

Purchased from The Bridal Boutique in Saskatoon for my September 2023 wedding. The sleeves are detachable, so you could switch up your look midway through the day, like I did. Or you could purchase different sleeves if you wanted a different look. The dress is very simple, classic, and timeless, so I think it could work with many different styles of bride or wedding. It is in perfectly new condition, no stains whatsoever. It was professionally cleaned by W Bridals almost immediately following the wedding. I absolutely loved the dress and it felt comfortable all day long. It has quite a large skirt, but it is not heavy. The material is very light and airy and looks almost like a waterfall. There is a "rum" coloured inner-lining in a nice, soft material. I am a person that has sensory issues with a lot of fabrics, but this dress worked perfectly and I think it could make another bride super happy. I wanted to feel like a Taylor Swift-esque cottagecore princess running through the forest and the dress helped me feel that way 100%.

Alterations

It was altered by a professional bridal gown seamstress recommended to me by the boutique where I bought it. They added more structure to the bodice. The material used for boning was very bendy and did not hold it's shape well, but after the alterations, it was perfect. Comfortable to wear and dance in, but still very structured and nice and snug, creating that beautiful tight waistline. Invisible loops were added in the skirt so that it and could be bustled. The actual sizing wasn't adjusted very much because it fit me nearly perfectly as it was. She did add some breast padding in the bra, but they are easily removable if you have a larger chest than I do.
