The Dress

Galia Lahav Haute Couture is a well established fashion house specialising in incredible Bridal and evening wear for more than 30 years. Her beautiful gowns are now regularly spotted on world wide red carpets and worn by numerous famous celebrities.

The Saffron gown is from the Empress collection. This gown is made from Italian stretch satin and features silk embroidery and pearls around the bodice. The back of the gown has a sheer diamond panel surrounded in embroidery and pearls which shape your waist, back and bum beautifully.

The dress was custom made for me and worn only once for my wedding on the 18th July 2015. It felt incredible to wear this gown, and I have received compliments ever since our wedding day. It truly is a show stopper and I am really sad to be letting it go. However, can't bare to put it away in a box, I would love for somebody else to enjoy this it as much as I did.

As the dress is custom made there is no size tag on this dress. However, I would describe it as a 10 uk. My measurements are as follows:
.Bust overall is around 94cm, My waist 73-74cm, my upper hip 93cm and my lower hip is 107cm

The satin is flexible though so there is Definitely some give . In addition, I believe there is some excess fabric at the seams which may enable the gown to be let out slightly if required. I am able to provide details for an amazing seamstress that specialises in altering Galia gowns should You require.

The fabric feels amazing on your skin and due to the cut it really shapes your body beautifully, if you are proud to show your curves this is the dress to do it in.
It is also incredibly comfortable to wear and never felt restrictive when standing and sitting throughout the day. So many brides tell me they are glad to take their dresses off at the end of the day to breath but I can guarantee you won't feel the need to take this gorgeous gown off in a hurry.

Cup size is a 36D. However, I had additional padding sewn into the cups which could either be removed to cater for a bigger bust or more padding could be added for a smaller bust or to give more lift as required.

I am 5ft 8 and wore a 2.5 inch heel and the dress floated perfectly on the ground. I would therefore recommend the person buying this gown is the same height if you are wearing heels or shorter than me as the dress can easily be taken up.

Customisation includes:

Guipure lace straps instead of the original spaghetti straps, a finger loop to enable you to hold the train when you would rather not bustle, as seen in one of my pictures. A full over bustle which Is very easily bustled up with ribbons on the underside of the gown (for longer periods of dancing or walking) and padded cups to the bust.

There are some very minor marks on the underside of the gown but these marks are almost unnoticeable and completely invisible on the outer side of the dress, which is of course the side on show.

The dress comes with original Galia Lahav hanger, dress bag and protective covering for the embroidered/embellished area of the gown.
