The Dress
This dress was inspired by gothic faerietales. Sadie designed a gorgeous vintage inspired dress with red, maroon and deep green flowers embroided (cut from a gorgeous Sari and hand embroided by Sadie) on the shoulders and around the waist to create a tapered line. The sleeves have high cuffs with button details and the back has a deep V with button details as well. The dress has pockets - and for our wedding, Sadie sewed blue hearts made from fabric from both our dad's shirts - as our something blue and to be able to reach for them when needed (as they had both passed on).
