The Dress

Amazing dress for a shorter bride! This Emmy Mae Bailey dress has gorgeous embroidery and beading detail on the bodice, a deep v/open back, and a fitted skirt with a short train. It's worth noting that this material is not stretchy, but it does drape beautifully. I had the buttons added.

I'm only 5'1 and the dress was tailored for me in 4 inch heels. Usually a street size 4, I bought the AU 10/US 6 to fit my hips (more details on alterations below) - my build is somewhat athletic (thicker lower half).

I purchased this dress in 2020 for my wedding, which like many others got cancelled and rescheduled. It ended up being a very small day time affair and for this reason, the dress is in great condition! I had it dry cleaned afterward and it's been hanging in a closet, wrapped in plastic, at my parents' house ever since.

Alterations

Hips let out slightly
Straps slightly shortened
Buttons added
Beige cups sewn in, visible in close up photo of bodice
Bustle added (see first photo) + strap added to hold up train when not bustled
Simple silk belt made from the dress skirt remnants (can include if desired)
