The Dress

This was the dress of my dreams! It is a US size 6 but was altered to fit a 5'4", 115 lb woman. I wore flat sandals during my wedding and it is hemmed to floor length. It is diamond white color (looks white, not ivory or cream). The outer layer is lace with an illusion back with buttons up the center. It has a relatively short train (maybe 2 feet), which I opted to be accompanied by a long veil (10ft) that was handmade by my husband's aunt. There is a section of light discoloration / dirt on the side hem of the dress. I included a picture for reference. There are no other flaws.

After my wedding in 2019, I sent the dress to be professionally cleaned and placed into a museum-standard preservation box that was completed sealed until I opened it in August 2023 to assess the condition of the dress prior to listing. It has been extremely well preserved.

Alterations

Dress was hemmed and taken in at waist. There was a bustle however that came undone during the wedding, so this will likely need to have a new bustle added. The undoing of the bustle did not damage the dress at all.
