Iconic Berta Bridal style 20-107!!!

A couture runway sample dress from the NYC Berta store bought directly following New York Bridal Fashion Week this year.

Never been worn off the runway, I was lucky to get my paws on this dress. It’s truly breathtaking - even more so in person - catching the light in a way that only that famous Berta sparkle can but still so light and comfortable. I love this dress, but came to the sad conclusion it really doesn’t fit my venue.

I can’t seem to categorize the sizing correctly here but hopefully this information helps! I’m 175.3 cm tall and usually a US 2/4. My bridal dress try-ons were typically an Aus 8 and seemed to fit perfectly. The Berta tag is size 40, which seemed to fit almost perfectly except a little large in the bust. I’ve listed the measurements provided by Berta below:
- Bust: 36.2 in (92 cm)
- Waist: 27.5 in (70 cm)
- Hips: 37.7 in (96 cm)

The dress would need hemmed and has some mild wear from the runway: the top layer of both back panels are pulled (pictured) and need a quick replacement, the top hook and eye needs replaced, and there is a non-visible rip somewhere in the underbelly of the front tulle (present during all my posted photos) but may want a quick fix during the alterations process so it lies perfectly under all that sparkle. Truly a stunning, one-of-a-kind couture dress that makes you feel like a princess!
