The Dress

Simply put, this is the most elegant dress I have ever touched. I saw it in the window of the Alexander McQueen store in San Francisco and could not believe how beautiful it was. Six months later, when I got engaged, I scoured the internet and found the very last one available at Harrod’s in London. I had it professionally altered from a size 44 down to a size 38 so that it would fit me exactly. The last photo shows me being pinned for the alterations.

Then, as life goes, I unexpectedly got pregnant and had to swap for something much larger late in the game! I’ve kept it for years hoping I’d have a place to wear it, but alas I’m a mom who basically lives in sweatpants.

I hope someone will give this dress the love and attention it deserves.

Alterations

I had this dress professionally altered from a size 44 down to a size 38 so that it would fit me exactly. It has room to be let out if needed. The last photo shows me being pinned for the alterations.
