The Dress

This beautiful dress was purchased at Teokath, Wimbledon and is a Lillian West, Hayden with color listed as 'sand'. The top of the dress sits on the hips and can be done up by first pulling together the under-strap with multiple hooks, a zip, several buttons and finally a small hook at the top to secure everything in place, so there's no risk of the dress slipping at any point.

The dress is both lightweight and warm - I wore it both on a sunny beach and on a cold glacier, and always felt comfortable throughout the day without overheating or needing a jacket.

It is in excellent condition as it was worn for an elopement, so the dress is undamaged and hasn't been through much wear and tear, plus has also been dry cleaned.

The dress is tulle and is being kept in a garment bag so might need a little steaming, but for context I bought the dress in 2020 and wore it in 2023 (COVID delays), packed it up on a 24 hour flight to New Zealand without ever steaming it, and based on the pictures you can see that it stayed relatively wrinkle-free!

I received so many compliments from people on this dress and while I'd love to keep it, I feel it would serve better use making another bride feel as beautiful as I did :)

Alterations

The dress was taken in slightly at the bust, so there maybe be room to take it out a bit if needed. Length was adjusted for my height (1.67cm height, 1.71cm with the hiking boots I wore). There is a bustle at the back for the train already.
