The Dress

Every bride wants to ‘Wow’ their groom and all their guests but I wanted an absolute SHOW STOPPER and the Elyse was ABSOLUTELY that. Everything about the dress is dramatic, glamorous, sexy but yet sophisticated. The organza and tulle skirt is truly spectacular and one of a kind - if you wanted to know, the train is 172cm long!!

All the guests at my wedding were completely taken aback with the beauty of the dress and what I loved was that everyone commented on how unique it was which is what I wanted as by the time we got married basically all my friends were married so I needed a dress to set me apart from the rest and the Elyse definitely delivered!

The color scheme is Ivory/Ivory/Nude - meaning the floral embroidery is ivory, the bodice is ivory, and the train is nude & ivory (please note the model picture on the cover is wearing the ivory/nude/nude version so has a nude bodice).

There is a loop attached to the train for you to wear it around your wrist however I never actually used this as I found the dress surprisingly easy to manoeuvre and dance in all day and night. Plus I was just so obsessed with the train, I didn’t want to have it up!

Things to make you aware of;
- Two of embroidered flowers have lifted a small amount but both of these can be easily stitched back on by a seamstress (there is no damage & the picture actually makes it look worse!)
- The very bottom tulle layer of the dress which is the horse hair is slightly damaged but this will not be seen by anyone as it’s buried under the massive train!

The dress was bespoke cleaned so it’s absolutely spotlessly clean! Sparkly!

Alterations

The bodice was taken in considerably as it was far too big for me and I wanted it to be figure hugging (but with room to breath!). Please refer to the sizes for the exact measurements but I would say the dress is now around a UK size 4. If you’re smaller than me, any talented seamstress will be able to take the dress in further.

The only aspect of the dress I actually changed were the straps. I found the spaghetti straps too thin so my seamstress added a tulle thicker strap. They looked fantastic and made the dress look more sophisticated.
