The Dress
Stunning lace dress. The lace print is unique and bold.
From Laudae's website: "This one is all about happy mediums — we chose a simple silhouette that lets your body do the talking, and paired it with a statement lace. As for the plunging neckline, we mirrored that in the back, because who needs fabric there anyway? The cream satin lining has a subtle shimmer under the off-white matte lace, and there’s secret support along the sides. Bases, covered. Bold bloom statement lace contrasted ever-so-subtly with cream lining."
This dress was worn once for my wedding. It has since been dry cleaned. The picture of the dress train was taken after being worn, dry cleaned, and evaluated for damage. Additional pictures are available upon request (can only share max 8 in the post). The following damages were found:
Minor, light staining on the satin bottom edge (I cannot see it with the lace over).
1 large stain on the satin inside layer (closest to the skin) in between the bustle ribbons (cannot see from the outside).
2 of 6 bustle ribbons were removed and will need to be added back before it can be used again.
Due to the lovely raw edge hem of the lace and the fact that the lace touches the ground - the lace can fray. It is recommended to trim any loose threads before you wear your dress for your big day. If you don't want to deal with potential fraying, you can have it altered to conceal the raw edge, but then you will lose the lovely detail and pattern of it. I didn't have much issue trimming loose strands the day of.
I highly recommend taking a look at additional images of the dress on Laudae's website and instagram page, as well as Lovely Bride's website, to see different fits and styling of the dress. It is quite a versatile and stunning dress!
Happy to answer any further questions or send additional specific picture requests!
Alterations
Straps were shortened. The mesh side panels were brought in a bit to prevent gapping. Dress length was shortened to just touch the floor when I was wearing heels (5'4" with 2.5" heels). French bustle was added (note - 2 of 6 of the ribbons were removed during dancing and will need to be added before it can be used again). The last picture shows the actual dress bustled.
