The Dress

A beautiful silk wedding dress handmade in England by the fabulous designer Lyn Ashworth.

The dress has a corseted silk body, which keeps you feeling slim and secure. In addition it has a long length of real silk buttons to do up at the back to add a special detail (something you'll need your bridesmaids to help you do up!). There is a beautiful lace trim where the body of the dress meets the skirt. The skirt is really full and fun, it is easy to dance and walk around in. There is an additional lace cover up which has 3/4 length sleeves and boat neckline, is done up with poppers at the back and sits just below the bust. The lace cover up adds a vintage glamour to the dress, but the dress could easily be be worn without it.

The dress is originally a size 12 but it has been alerted to fit me (my measurements are: bust 34 inches, waist 29 inches, hips 39 inches). I wore it with 2 inch heels and my height is 164 cm (about 5 foot 4 inches).

I have included the hooped petticoat which I wore underneath the dress, which helped keep the front of the dress from catching under my feet. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is currently stored in a dry, clean, smoke and pet free house. The dress is hung up in a breathable pink dress bag.
The dress is in perfect condition except a small 1 cm tear in the lace on the right shoulder (shown in last photo), which can be easily mended.
