I felt like a fairy princess on the day and love this dress! It looks great from the front, but is really spectacular from the back! And for a wedding dress it is surprisingly light.
I also loved that it had a fit and flare silhouette, but was overlayed with a tulle A-line. I have quite wide hips in relation to my upper body and fit and flare dresses often make my bum look bigger than it is. With the combination of both I felt I could hide the hips a bit, but still have the interesting silhouette peek through the tulle.
I only wore the dress a few hours as we had a late afternoon wedding and I changed for the afterparty. There are no stains or tears, so it's in a great condition and it's been professionally dry- cleaned.
This is the description from the Pronovias website: Sexy wedding dress in Chantilly lace and tulle, flared with nude details. Sheer illusion tulle bodice with crew neckline decorated with lace appliqués, thread embroidery and gemstone embroidery front and back. Chantilly lace mermaid skirt overlaid with a soft tulle flared skirt gathered at the waist.
The dress is part of the Pronovias Atelier collection, so more detail and expense go into the production of the item than with their main line.
My measurements on the day were: - 1,74m tall (I am 1,60m, but was wearing 14cm heels, so dress was fitted to be floor length with the shoes) - 47kg - breast 78 cm, waist 65cm, hips 88cm
I ordered the dress a size 36, but as I lost some weight they had to lift the shoulders and size it down around my upper body quite a bit, so a size 34 probably reflects the upper body better.
I do have wider hips in relation to my upper body. So the size 36 fits well around the hips & bottom. They did have to take it in very slightly here, too. If you're smaller than me, you can definitely take this in more here.
There is still a bit of fabric left, so you can take it out again slightly on the shoulders, waist and hips. It was also hemmed at the bottom. I am 1,60m, but was wearing 14cm heels on the day, so it can still fit someone who is taller than me.
The dress comes with a nude underdress with in- sown cups (size B), which I was wearing. You can definitely have the cups replaced or could wear it without the underdress and have the cups attached directly to the dress if you're more daring than I was.
We also added a finger hook to hold up the lace skirt of the dress for our first dance and I threw the tulle overlay around my arm, which actually looked lovely.
