The Dress

This dress is from Mikaella Bridal. It's an ivory strapless A-line dress with a satin ivory material and has elegant yet soft and simple details on the top half. The gown is closed using a zipper and a few clips to cover the zipper with material. As you can see in the back picture there is a short train. It easily pins up. I wore it up for 90% of the day.

This dress was originally purchased in 2009 at the Bridal House in Edmonton and was only worn once. My ceremony and reception were both held indoors. The only thing that happened outside was pictures. The dress was professionally cleaned and stored after my wedding. It is taking up so much room in my (son's) closet and we are downsizing so I wanted to share it with someone else who might be looking for a simple yet elegant dress for their wedding.

*(Please note that the swarovski brooch does not come with the dress. I bought this to add to my dress and keep as a keepsake. )

The dress was altered once before it was worn. I am 5'5", but wore 3.5" heels and as you can see in the first picture, the front of the dress was just brushing the floor. I believe this dress would work for someone shorter or even a few inches taller. I wore flats in the evening and the dress wasn't in my way at all. I wear a street size 2 and was about 115lbs at the time of my wedding. I also received two cups that can be attached with a small thread.
