The Dress
Beautiful Berta Couture Gown, (Style 14-02) purchased from Bridal Galleria in San Francisco for my March 2016 Wedding in Napa Valley,California. N
Like all Berta creations this dress is stunning, head to toe in detail, the undercoat of the lace is all glitter/sequin so it sparkles in the light and at night when you are strutting it on the dance floor & the end of the sleeves have the most beautiful pearl detail ! It is extremely comfortable, and lightweight. Berta dresses really are showstoppers!! The V neckline gives the appearance of an open cut but it actually had skin colored tulle in this section so it kept the overall look very classy.
This dress was immediately dry cleaned after my wedding by professional wedding dress cleaners. It is in MINT condition, I took the up-most care with it throughout the day.
I felt amazing in this dress, every inch a couture bride and I would love to find another bride that could get the same amazing feeling from it as I did. Please feel free to reach out and ask me questions about the dress I am happy to send any other information/pictures of the details on the dress etc that you may want before you make any decisions.
No Flaws -
I had alterations made to this dress so that it would be a perfect fit for me. If you are my size or smaller in measurements, it will probably fit you perfectly or be easy to alter. Sleeves were taken up so that the detail on them sat at just the right position, the length of the dress was also taken up, I believe most Berta dresses come very long in length originally. I am 5'7" and wore 3" heels on the day and it just touched the ground perfectly as I did not want it to trail and run the risk of being ruined.
The deep V at the front was altered about an inch up so that it was not as low as originally and as I am quiet small chested we had cups added, which I believe can be removed.
The seamstress who did all of my alternations was recommended to me by the store I purchased my dress, she was an expert in Berta Gowns and spent YEARS making alterations to them, and she was a PRO, I would happily provide her name and where to find her if any interested bride has further questions on the alterations or indeed wanted to use her also.
