The Dress

Hello I am selling my much loved Victoria Jane for Ronald Joyce 'Glenda (17713)' wedding dress. As much as I love it, I am in the process of moving home and am trying to be practical!

The colour is 'oyster' which is similar to ivory but which I would say is slightly darker (my reasoning being that it was a bit more of a flattering tone than the lighter ivories and whites I had seen).

In true size, I would say this is a small size 10 (I am a 'proper' size 10 on the bottom but slightly smaller on the top). The only alterations I had were to shorten the dress by 1.5 inches (I am 5 foot 6 inches and wore 3.5 inch heels on the day) and to take the bust in a centimetre on each side (I am a bust size 34B).

I have had the dress professionally dry cleaned and there are no visible marks to the outside. There are two small marks to the underside of the train that the dry cleaners couldn't get out but they would not be visible while wearing the dress (and are to be expected with a train like this!).

The dress is in lovely condition still. The only small points that would need to be looked at are a couple of pulls on the heavily beaded bodice (again, difficult to avoid with so much detail and beading). This wouldn't be difficult for a seamstress to rectify as it really is just one or two pulls. I would be happy to provide close up pictures for checking if required.

The dress was purchased for £1,100 and I am selling it for less than half price at £385 (although will be open to realistic offers from serious buyers).

I also have a fingertip length ivory veil with crystal trim (to match the bodice of the dress) that may be of interest to anyone interested in this gown. This was purchased for £150 but I would only be looking for around £50 for it.
