The Dress

This was the first wedding dress I tried on in my first wedding dress search day out following getting engaged. It was exactly what I wanted, tight fitting around the body, with a bigger skirt and not too long train - but still a bit of grandeur! I especially loved the tie type lace-up back.

It is too big for me, and I was going to get it tailored to fit as you usually have some work on your dress even if its the right size. However, through the wedding planning, the theme of our wedding took a definite vintage turn, and this beautiful dress just no longer worked with what I wanted. I therefore never had it tailored, and found a vintage dress to wear instead. I am now selling this dress on to help it make it down the aisle on a different beautiful bride!!

I am 1.74m tall and with a medium heel shoe on I wouldn't have needed to get it made shorter. The dress is a size 12; I would say a larger size 12 as I found wedding dress sizes are a bit bigger than standard clothing. To get it sized for you, its just taking in the side seams.

It is Ivory, and has no visible marks as far as I or a prospective tailor could tell. It was bought in a wedding dress sale at the Hilton in London and has never been worn.

In the pictures, I am gathering the dress either at the back or the front to give you a better idea of the fit because as I've said its too big for me.
