The Dress

I'm selling my stunning wedding dress by London based designer Ritva Westenius. As soon as I laid eyes in this beautiful dress, I knew I had found the one. Words cannot express how amazing it is, and I've still not seen anyone wearing anything quite like it. It has a champagne colour 100% silk/satin underlay, with ivory detailed lace over the top. All over the lace there is beading and sequin detail which is repeated all over the dress. It really is breathtaking and sparkles so nicely in the light. There is a bodice inside that acts like a corset to hold you in place, and also light padding in the bust area meaning you don't have to wear a bra. The back fastens with lovely fabric little buttons- no zip required.
There is a loop attached to wear around the wrist as the dress does have a wonderfully long train. I am 5'6 and wore two and a half inch heels. It can be taken up if needs be though, there is a hidden seam to make this possible.
I wore this (only once!) in May for my wedding abroad, and will come to you not only in the original Ritva Westenius dress bag, but also in the hard box I used for travel- this will be a little gift to you.
It has been professionally dry cleaned, and one tiny little fault to the lace completely repaired and I can't even tell where it was! In excellent condition.

Please note: The label says size 12 as when I bought it I was, but I did lose quite a bit of weight in the months leading up to the wedding so had to have it taken in a lot. I would say it is more of a size 8 now- for exact measurements please email me.

Melanie Sykes actually wore this same dress on the same day as me for her wedding! She had the neckline changed to a dramatic sweetheart line which you could also do if you wanted.

Ritva Westenius is one of the most renowned and respected wedding dress designers around, and won British Wedding Dress designer of the year 2012- check out her website. Here is the description of this dress on there:

Bedazzled : Strapless gown with boned bodice and sweetheart neckline with skirt panning out from the lower hip forming a flattering silhouette. The fabric details are, tulle lace with beaded and gold thread embroidery over Champagne slipper satin.

This cost me £3800. Selling for two reasons; one we desperately need a new kitchen and this could really help, and two I don't want this to sit in the loft getting dusty when someone else can get as much joy from it as I did!
