How Laura sold
Laura sold her dress to help save for their first home.
Did you have any concerns about selling your dress?
My main concern was that I wouldn’t be able to sell my dress. These concerns were quickly put to rest as I had two brides message me within the first 24 hours of listing my dress on Stillwhite.
What was your motivation for selling your wedding dress?
I didn’t want my dress to sit at the back of a musty wardrobe for 50 years like my mother’s wedding dress! I thought it would be really lovely if another bride fell in love with the dress and wore it on her wedding day. I kept a small swatch of lace from my dress that the designer had given me and of course have hundreds of photos and a video to remember the dress.
Describe your selling experience
Stillwhite was seamless from start to finish. The whole experience was affordable and easy to use. I had 9 brides all seriously interested in my dress and 3 offers to buy within two weeks.
Did you feel safe selling your dress on Stillwhite?
Absolutely. My contact details were kept private and payment was secure.
How do you feel about another bride wearing your dress?
I love the idea. I think it’s particularly special if perhaps that bride couldn’t afford to buy the designer dress at full price but through buying it preloved through Stillwhite they can!
What are you spending your sale on?
My husband and I put the money towards our savings for a house deposit.
Any tips and advice for future brides?
Make sure you send a wedding photo or two through to the bride you bought the dress from. I absolutely loved seeing my dress on another bride.
What did you love about Stillwhite the most?
