The Dress

This dress was hand made with love by the daughters of simone brand, in a size large, but then altered fairly extensively. I am a size 10-12 so would fit girls of the same. (FYI DOS size large measurements are Bust=39 inches, waist=31, hips=41).
I cant explain just how flattering this dress is- if you've got curves, this dress will show them off in all the right places. I found the photos on the DOS website so different to what it actually looked like on- this dress was really designed to show off the figure.
The dress is made of silk with a satin underlay, and I can honestly say it was absolutely comfortable for the entire 14 hours I had it on. Definitely no 'get me out of this thing' moments!
It has been dry cleaned, however our wedding was outside so it did get quite dirty. Thankfully the dry cleaner was able to get most of the marks out, however there are a few very minor ones left which I'm sure wouldn't be noticed by anyone who is not looking for them! There is also a small tear approx. 1.5cm in length on the side of the dress- I have ensured the price reflects these flaws.

In terms of alterations, I had the top taken in, and had it hemmed. I also got some very mild boning put in the sides of it so the top didn't wrinkle while I was walking. The boning didn't affect the overall comfort.
