The Dress

I bought this dress at a BHLDN sample sale - I fell in love with the lacey train on this gown. I had it professionally hemmed at the front without shortening the train (I am 5'2'' the dress is 58'' from shoulder to the ground and looks fine with heels) and repaired the missing pearls on the shoulder straps. I also had my seamstress take in the top a little, and shorten the straps a few inches (my measurements are 34" bust, 27" waist, 36"hip, 37" low hip). However I just bought this dress too early (I was excited!) and we have since changed to an outdoor venue on the beach, and the rest of the wedding took on a more art deco vibe that just doesn't pair well with this beautiful lace gown. It has clear sequins on the gown which catch the light and give it a subtle shimmer, and the end of the long train has a subtle ombre shift in the color of the lace from ivory to a cool grey. It needs to go to the dry cleaners again, but it is in good condition and I think someone out there would really love this gown - I fell in love with it the moment I saw the train.
