The Dress

I ordered this gown, and after it came in and was hemmed - I accidentally found a different gown I liked even more. So THIS GOWN IS HEMMED, but the hem looks REMOVABLE by a tailor. It was pulled up and just sewn in 2-inch sections under the top layer. See photo to see the 2 inch section that you would have to have let out. I would recommend a professional tailor letting out the hem! It appears easily removable, but I am not a tailor.

The color of the dress is champagne and ivory. The skirt part is an off-white, and the top is a light champagne color. It's beautiful! The photo with the price tag looks slightly darker, it is not that dark, but that photo shows detail. Refer to all the other photos for the color.

If you are shorter, this dress may be perfect as it is, and you won't need to pay for a hem! The bodice has not been touched. For reference, I am 5 foot 3, wear a size 8 pants and medium tops, a size 34DD bust, and the dress fit nearly perfectly the way it arrived! I would have needed to take it in just a touch but I did NOT have anything done to it yet except the hem.

IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THE HEM IN: It is hemmed to barefoot for a 5 foot 3 woman. So with flats at 5'3", it will fall to the floor. With heels, you would need to subtract your heel height from 5'3" to know how tall you can be while still having it hit the ground. EXAMPLE: If your shoes are 3 inches tall, you would need to be about 5 feet even for the dress hem to be perfectly at the ground in your shoes. It has a chapel train.

I do believe this hem should be removable by a tailor, as nothing was cut and it is only sewn/tacked up under the skirt. Feel free to ask your tailor before buying.

I did pay retail $1358 for this gown - it's brand new, never worn, no stains, no issues, it's been uncovered for only a few minutes while they did the hemming. It will arrive in a full bag with the train on a second hanger. The dress is gorgeous, and brand new. I'd have attempted to return it, except it's been hemmed. So it's yours! ENJOY!!
