The Dress

An exquisite ball gown wedding dress with ¾ length tulle sleeves, stunning illusion back detail, beaded waistband and a beaded motif.

Worn once on 31st March 2018. I felt incredible in this dress, and it showed on my face all day! Surprisingly light and comfortable to wear given the size of the skirt (worn here with a hoop petticoat not included) and gorgeous beading, especially on the belt which really focuses attention on the waist for a beautiful silhouette. I’m a 16-18 on the high street.

Shortened to fit (I'm 5'6" but wore 4 inch heels so can fit taller and shorter brides if they are want it shortened again), a brand new Wonderbra was sewn into the bodice for extra support (although this can be unpicked easily enough and replaced if necessary), and a button was added to the back of the dress so the skirt could be pinned up while dancing without changing the shape of the dress (see dance photo) which I loved having the option to do! Slight marks on bottom of the inside skirts, but these can’t be seen when the dress is on. The dress was only worn on concrete and wooden floors, no grass or mud, and it was a dry day. Will need to be steamed before wear as the tulle can crease in storage.
