The Dress

An absolutely stunning strapless Vera Wang gown. Ivory silk satin organza with duchesse ribbon trim.

The silk satin is beautifully soft, and the skirt has several fine layers to give a relatively full A line shape. It's an extremely elegant dress, with the perfect silhouette you'd expect from Vera Wang. It has a fitted bodice which is flattering for smaller busts, and includes just a little shaping without feeling constraining. The dress has some lovely subtle details - tiny buttons down the back, a small flower at the waist, and satin bands at the base of the skirt.

The dress is a UK size 8-10, and fits a 28” waist and 34A bust (or possibly a 32B). It is just above floor length for me at 5’10” plus 3” heels.

I was lucky enough to find this dress as an unworn sample dress at just under half its full price (£2195 vs £4500 new). I wore the dress once for my wedding day in May 2011. It’s been professionally dry cleaned by Gown Clean and is in excellent condition. Receipt and original Vera Wang dress carrier provided.
