THE DRESS

My dress is the beautiful and elegant Ophelia strapless gown from Australian designer Karen Willis Holmes as part of her 2017 Bespoke Collection.

This stunning gown is ivory in colour, and has a strapless sweetheart neckline and trumpet silhouette. It is fully and beautifully embroidered and embellished with a scallop design from top to mid-thigh. The hand-sewn embellishments make it an exquisite yet subtle and classy piece. It also weighs lighter than it looks and is very easy to move in.

The cut of the dress is incredibly flattering. The bodice is boned for a slim and structured finish, yet comfortable to wear all day and night. I am a size B cup, and the dress includes sewn-in bust cups that will fit a size A to C. The back of the dress includes buttons and a hidden zip for extra shape and security.

The gown includes panelled layers of tulle at the bottom of the skirt and train, and the train can be taken up. Matching ivory ribbons for the train will be included. The gown also comes with a matching, fully embellished waist belt.

This lovely gown was professionally embellished, hemmed and altered by the Karen Willis Holmes Seamstress to fit a size 8 to 10. I am 160cm tall and I wore 4-inch heels on my wedding day on 22 December 2017.

This has been professionally dry cleaned by Syndal's Dry Cleaners in Armadale to return it to perfect condition. There are no flaws to this dress - it is as good as new.
