The Dress

I had a stunning golden-toned dress handmade for me over a year ahead of my wedding, but my body shaped changed too much to wear it. The dressmaker told me that many beads would have to be smashed to take it in to my new size. I couldn't bring myself to alter it! I decided to get another dress and put this one out there for a lucky person to have as their own wedding dress. The photos do not do the dress justice because it has to be pinned to show the shape - it does not fit me. My bust and waist do not fill out the dress.

The dress is made out of a hand beaded tulle top-half with a subtly revealing neckline. It has a plunging v-shape in the back. The skirt is made out of layers of silk chiffon and silk satin. It flows beautifully and leaves a small puddle of chiffon at the back. The fabric is so buttery and the colour is like golden rays of sunshine. It comes with a removable belt, but my plan was to buy a sparkly gold belt to wear with it (and sparkly gold shoes)!

The bust size would suit someone in the D-DD range and the overall dress size is around 12-14 (specific measurements below). You may need a bra with a plunging back for extra support (or some tape).

It has never been worn apart from me trying it on, and I paid double the asking price for the custom work (hand beading takes hours and hours).

I am 163cm tall and I wear 11cm heels in these photos.
