This dress is a berta size 40, I’m a US size 2 (or 0 depending on brand) and it fit me perfectly. It’s a gorgeous dress! If you haven’t tried it on or seen it in person, you’ll be surprised by it’s beauty and luxury feel! The details on the lace are magnificent!! It’s also super flattering, the fabric has the kind of stretch to it that hugs and smooths you in all the right places while being super comfortable and easy to move in. It really was the highlight of my day and I hope it can make a future bride just as happy :)
If you prefer to see or pick it up in person, I can meet in the NYC and DC metro areas, as I travel back and forth very often between the two cities. I’m also happy to Skype to show it to you for an ‘in person’ feel.
*RETURNS: I can’t accept returns but for your peace of mind I accept Escrow payments which will only disburse the funds to me after you receive, examine, and approve the item
The dress has had minor alterations with all material preserved so it can all can be undone: 1. Original cap sleeves where restraining to arm movement so my seamstress opened and took in the sleeve length just a tad. However the material is only folded in and can be easily taken back out if you prefer the original sleeves. Honestly I couldn’t tell a the difference in design after it was done, it just became easy to dance in and I could raise my arms high enough to throw the bouquet!! 2. An American bustle has been added to the skirt with 3 holds so it won’t break (train is rather heavy with all the beading) 3. Bra pads are sown in to keep the girls in place. This is a must in this dress neckline. The inserts are not the flimsy type, they are the type that add some shape and fullness (much needed for my B cup girls) but can be removed or replaced. 4. Waist has been taken in about 1/2 inch (can be taken out) 5. Hem was cut to be floor length on a with-shoe height of 5’11” (I'm 5’6” and wore 5” heels) Much of these alterations are must do's and will save some $$ in your pocket!
