The Dress

A beautiful dress from Sabina Motasem, made in the UK.

Collete dress - a strapless fitted, fishtail wedding dress made from stretch duchess satin. Retail £1600.

Evelyn bodice - lace - A French corded lace bodice worn over the Colette dress . Ever so slightly capped sleeve with silk covered buttons on the back. An example on the designer website: https://www.motasem.co.uk/products/evelyn-bodice-over-elsa. Retail £400.

Art Nouveau crystal belt - bought but not used in the end. Retail £200.

I bought the three elements separately, in Ireland.

I had the train reduced a little, and the bodice sown into the dress, with a simple satin sash added. I'm 5 ft 3 inches tall and wore low 1 inch shoes on the day. I had a strapless bra sown into the dress also, but it can be taken out quite easily, which I made sure of when getting the alterations completed.

I am open to negotiation on the belt, on the day I decided I didn't need it but it was designed to go with the dress to add more detail to it.

The dress was sold as a size 12, though I am normally a 10 and was on the small side of 10 for the wedding. Please ask if you have any questions about the fit.

The dress does need to be dry cleaned, and can negotiate this as part of the sale. As you can see from the pictures there are no stains from the day itself.
