The Dress

I wanted a simple and sophisticated slip dress for my wedding. I tried probably all of the similar styles available before having the good luck of finding this beautiful 100% silk slip dress by A La Robe, which was very difficult to get hold of in England!

One of the differences between this dress and the other slip dresses I tried on is that there was no need to wear a bra or have cups inserted, the dress (amazingly) provided enough support on its own. I say this having never managed to find a dress able to achieve this feat before (I am a 30D).

One of the best features of the dress, as you will see from the photos, is the deep-V back, which is subtle yet sexy! The dress is also very comfortable and allowed me to move around with ease, which is important on you wedding day with lots of guests to greet!

I am 5ft 4 and wore 4inch heels with the dress.

I wore this dress for my wedding ceremony and drinks reception before changing into a shorter dress for the evening (mainly because I love dresses and one was not enough), so it only had a very brief outing of around 4 hours!
