The Dress

You only get one day in your life where you can wear a beautiful princess style dress!!

I absolutely loved my dress on the wedding day, it made me feel like a princess without being too dramatic and with the changes I made I loved that the dress was completely unique.

It has Chantilly lace covering the body which is boned giving that beautiful shape down to the hip, with a princess style skirt starting lower than most ball gown style dresses giving an even better body shape, made with soft organza ruffles, that has layers of netting and satin lining under it to give a fuller look without having to wear a hoop.

The upper back and neck is made with a very soft sheer tulle and softens the look of the dress. The back is again lined with the Chantilly lace which creates a stunning back. The dress has buttons running down the whole back into the skirt creating a lengthening illusion.

Due to dramatic alterations (see alterations) I would think the dress is now a size 8-10? But as its hard to tell so I have included my measurements from the day before the wedding for you to compare with your own:

Chest (bust) - 83.5cm
Belly Button - 67.5cm
Hips - 97.5cm

Worn once, dry cleaned by Atlas, the top wedding dress cleaners in Perth and still in immaculate condition.

While the moment I tried this dress on I knew it was "the one", I purchased the gown as a strapless dress but always new I would make changes as I didn't want strapless.

Due to dramatic weight loss I had to make some other alterations. So I changed the dress to a button up as there was no longer the gap for a lace up (which I was very excited about as I wanted buttons). I then added the neck and back sheer tulle to soften the look of the dress and edged the back with Chantilly lace which created a much softer over all look for the dress which suited our wedding style a lot more.

All the alterations were done by a proffesional wedding dress maker. Alterations costed close to $500
