The Dress

Original Pronovias bridal gown, made in Spain, bought in Burlington, Ontario, and altered and worn in Banff, Alberta for the wedding.

Princess bridal dress in satin, ivory in colour. Bodice with V neck gathered under the bust with a draped sash to the waist. Panelled skirt with side pockets (which were amazing!). Special feature would be its beautiful backless V that leads all the way down to its elegant train. The bustle needs a repair. I had buttons added on to the entire length of the dress at the back.

This dress is timeless and elegant Many people said the style of the dress (and my bird cage veil) was very Audrey Hepburn-esque. A tip to the classic look. I truly believe that it will still look timeless many years down the road.

It is still in mint condition and washed by professional wedding gown cleaners. I had the dress slightly altered to fit my 170cm height frame, and athletic build. The top of the straps were taken in a bit, as was the waist. I had it bustled, but would need to be redone, as a night of dancing was tough on the existing bustle!

It is a stunning dress and I hope the next person will love it as much as I do.
