The Dress

Congratulations Bride to Be, you have such an exciting time ahead of you!

I was married on 21 January 2017 and was lucky enough to have the incredibly talented Suzanna Blazevic design my beautiful custom made, dream dress. Perfect for size 6-8, I am 162cm tall and wore 10cm heels on the day.

Inspired by Elie Saab and Berta Bridal, I wanted to have my ‘bride’ moment for the Ceremony so we created a half skirt attachment that I removed for the reception before our first dance to create two different looks.

The fitted gown is covered in 3D French lace and, to create a lush feel, Suzanna appliquéd additional flowers over the entire dress, concentrating on the bottom two thirds to create a timeless and elegant look. Suzanna also appliquéd flowers over the outer parts of the attachment.

The ivory mesh section over my décolletage has been hand beaded with pearls, with in-built cups included in the bust, which would fit a 10C comfortably but can be removed if not required.

The detachable half skirt includes an extremely long regal looking train, which really made me feel like a princess. The dress also has a train, however, it is significantly shorter than that of the attachment to allow easier movement once the attachment has been removed.

I paid $11,000 originally and I am asking for $7,000 for the gown, attachment and classic tulle veil. Happy to negotiate. All pieces have been professionally dry cleaned at a cost of over $500 and are in near perfect condition.

While I’m sad to part with such a stunning gown, it really is too special to be worn once so I want to make sure another lucky lady feels as happy and at ease as I did wearing it.
