The Dress

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted a off-shoulder ball gown wedding dress like Bell from Beauty and the Beast. My mom, on the other hand, wanted me to wear a more fitted dress to show off my extreme weight loss. How do you decide? Well you don't. Never compromise on your wedding day, you deserve everything you want ;) For my mom, I kept the whole thing a surprise!

Niko and Arnold from The Boys Couture made all my dreams come true by designing me this exquisite masterpiece, a two-in-one convertible wedding dress. I wanted a beautiful classic and tasteful dress that would be timeless, but I also wanted a wow-factor for the guests. This dress achieved all of that, and more!

The first dress is a fit & flare beauty made from Prada satin with delicate French lace on the bodice. The lace is chosen to be plain with just a few pearls and beads rather than too flashy. You can always add more! It is densely placed at the top of the bodice with the frequency then fading out as you go down the dress.
The back of the dress is just as beautiful as the front! It has a low back with off-shoulder cap sleeves made from soft English chiffon and beaded details. The dress has fabric covered buttons down the back, all the way to the bottom of the dress, it looks amazing! It also has a half meter trail that merges in with the second dress and can be clipped up when you dance.
In the front the chiffon slightly covers the lace scalloped, sweetheart neckline. As you move around guests will catch glimpses of the lace scalloped sweetheart neckline that is delicately hidden away below a soft chiffon, making the dress mysterious and sexy, but modest at the same time.

Adding the removable skirt to the dress transforms it completely! I still can't decide which dress is more beautiful though!
The skirt is plain and made from the same delicate chiffon that is on the cap-sleeves. Its very light and swirls as you move.
The same lace is added to the belt part of the skirt and attached to the first dress with invisible clip-on's. This way you really can't notice where the one dress ends and the other starts! Can you believe my mom never suspected a secret dress below the skirt? .

This dress is so light and comfortable, allowing you to dance the whole night long. Even though it is off-shoulder, I never tugged my dress up, not even once, because the bodice of the dress is 'hardened' and fitted tightly to sit comfortably on your body.

So having two wedding dresses is the best right! You can decide to reveal the secret dress during your first dance, or like me, during our entry into the reception hall. My hubby twirled me in, he then grabbed the skirt at the release end and when he twirled me out I twirled right out of the skirt, to everyone's surprise. You should have seen my mom's face!

I am 1.72 m tall and the dress is a size 10 but it can be enlarged to a 12. I suggest that you do any alternations with The Boys Couture as they know and love this dress as much as you and I do. They will also rent you the underskirt that you will need and can make you a veil and garter too if you do not already have one.
