The Dress

'Valor' is an elegant and classic gown designed by Rosa Clara and handmade in Spain. It is from her 2016 'Soft' collection.

I purchased this dress from Still White recently but never got to wear it because unfortunately it didn't quite fit. Rather than making alterations I've decided to go with another dress instead. I have only tried it on once and it has only been worn once by the previous owner. It is in immaculate condition, had been dry cleaned and had no tears or blemishes as all.

The gown is beaded silk tulle on top and bottom. It has a flattering scoop neck embellished with tasteful beading. The skirt is a trumpet shape however gives more of an a-line silhouette. It is very light and comfortable and extremely flattering and shimmers beautifully. I'm disappointed it didn't fit as I loved it as soon as I saw it. The dress comes with a 'Rosa Clara' garment bag and hanger.

It is labelled 14 but is more like a 12, especially on the top. I'm usually a 14 and the waist and skirt fit but the top was too small. The previous owner was told by a dressmaker that there was room to alter it 1-2 inches either way without compromising the look of the dress.
