Truvelle Eden wedding dress, handmade in Vancouver, Canada . Size 6 (Canadian). I usually wear a size 8 Aus.
The original measurements for this size as per the brand's website are: Bust: 34″–35″ Waist: 27″–28″
As per the Truvelle website, this gown has a plunging neckline, open sides, and a low back. The top part is made from rose gold sequins, the skirt is make from off-white and blush lining, and almond chiffon which flows effortlessly from the waist to the floor. The gown can be worn with the blush silk bow or without it.
The bodice is lined with stretch satin, and lies close to the skin. Minimal support it provided through the straps and waistband. No bra is necessary; however I had cups added into the dress to fill the top out a little bit as I have a small bust. I had the dress altered for my height. The dress has been hemmed at the front to just touch the ground and the back has been hemmed only slightly so there is still a small train - I am 168cm tall (roughly 5’5”) and wore 10cm heels (roughly 4 inches). I also had the straps shortened by about 2.5 cm but the extra strap length remains so can be readjusted. There is a clip on the waistband can could be moved to tighten or loosen the band if needed.
As per the designer’s recommendation, this dress has not been dry cleaned as it can ruin the sequins/material. It has instead been carefully hand washed. Our wedding ceremony and photos were outside so there are a couple of small, faint stains on the bottom of the chiffon that aren’t noticeable unless you’re looking up close at the very bottom of the dress.
This dress is made for the modern bride and an alternate option to the more traditional, white gowns. I love the unconventional elements of this dress and I received so many compliments on my gown. I absolutely loved wearing it and hope someone will enjoy it as much as I did!
