The Dress
This dress was purchased in Manhattan and is custom, meaning it was the basic Maven design but Modern Trousseau made changes to it that I asked for: are lace appliques on this dress where the english net (fancy type of tulle) begins, so that there was a softer transition from the lace to the tulle. I also had the designer add more netting under the skirt (so they added a fuller petticoat) so that the bottom of the dress would fan out a bit more. The final dress is as pictured with all the custom changes.
Worn once and dry cleaned. Since the wedding this dress has been neatly preserved and stored in a cool, dry place.
This dress was ordered in the smallest size (2) and was hemmed about 3 inches, added a built in corset (great because the dress doesn't slip down while dancing!), taken in at the bust and hips (I am a street size 0), and bustled.
