The Dress

Beautiful structured silk mikado dress from Essense of Australia - it gives a beautiful hourglass shape, and the material is quite light, and the colour is a nice bright ivory. The cap sleeves are beautifully beaded, along with a detachable beaded belt and ability to bustle the train. Buttons cover the back of the dress and train and cover the zip up back.

It is from Essense's new 2017 collection which I pre-ordered last year, so to get this one from a boutique now requires a few months of waiting!

The dress is a UK 10 and is unaltered, is true to fit. Bought from Marshmallow Brides in St Albans.

I loved this dress when I bought it but we decided on a destination wedding and I have gone for something more relaxed - if we were getting married in the UK I would definitely be wearing this beauty! The dress is understated, modern and elegant with a lovely long train and nipped in waist.
