The Dress

Gorgeous lace, strapless, fitted to mid-thigh, with a lace train, built-in corset, and a zip under the covered buttons at the back, for ease of dressing.

This was 'made-to-measure', meaning they took a size 10 and adjusted it a little to fit. It's a size 10-12 really, and the hem was taken up at the front. It can be adjusted in or out again by a dressmaker. I'm bigger in the hips and thighs than up top, and I never thought this style would suit me, but it's very flattering. I'm 160cm tall (5'3"), and wore medium heels, about 2".

There is no damage to the dress and I meticulously hand-cleaned the hem before dry cleaning, so there is no discolouration and no stains, and the dress is pretty much as new! It's been stored well in my house since the wedding.
