The Dress

This is a size 0, white David's Bridal dress (Style V9409) chiffon A-line with side draped bodice, beaded lace, and lace up back.

I wore this dress for my 11/11/11 wedding, and it was so comfortable! I didn't have any problems with the dress, even after wearing it for hours. I did wear a corset underneath, but depending on your body shape, you might not need one at all. We had an outdoor wedding and the dress was perfect--it was formal, yet also sweet and elegant. Some dresses are so traditional that they practically demand a church ceremony, but this one would be perfect for just about any setting!

The fabric and beading is beautifully done, and doesn't look like a "cheap" dress, even though I paid full price ($500) for it. The medium-length sweep train was perfect and I didn't worry about tripping on it. There are several layers to help give it the flair shape, but they won't get in your way. I wore a slip since the tulle in the bottom layer was just a little bit scratchy.

I wore the lace up back with the ties inside the dress (on the David's Bridal website, the bow is outside the dress. You can wear it either way). It also has a bustle for after the ceremony.

I purchased the veil separately from the dress, but would be happy to include it. It matches the dress with beading along the bottom edge, which is perfect for an outdoor wedding like mine because it helps keep the veil from catching the breeze!

Very minor alterations were made. A small bag of extra beads sequins that came with the dress is included.

The dress has not been dry cleaned, so it has minor makeup coloration on the inside edge of the dress (not visible while wearing). The chiffon is clean, but the lining has some dirt smudges.
