Selling my beautiful wedding dress by up and coming designer Rime Arodaky (Meghan Markle has been sporting her casual t-shirt range and you can view her ready to wear pieces on Net-a-Porter). I adored my dress and absolutely loved wearing it. Rime’s pieces are stunning, full of detail and it’s impossible not to fall in love with every one of her dresses.
When I tried on the Lavender dress, I knew I had found 'the one' and, although I am sad to let it go, I want someone else to feel as special as I did wearing it. Designed in France, the Lavender is a beautifully made silhouette skimming gown cut from white crepe with a draped overlay and stunning lace trims. The dress is fully lined and strikes the perfect balance between fashion forward and modern yet still bridal. I wanted to find a dress that gave me the feeling of being a bride yet didn't look overly bridal. The Lavender dress did just that, making me feel beautiful and feminine but with the relaxed boho chic twist I was striving for. I also loved that the dress gave the illusion of being a top and skirt but it was in fact all one piece. I felt comfortable and confident wearing the Lavender and received a lot of compliments.
The dress was ordered in a size 10 and was then slightly altered to fit size 8/10 as I was in between sizes. The waist is roughly 28inches and bust is 32inches. The dress measures approximately 60inches/152cm from the top of the strap to the bottom of the gown. I am 5ft3 and wore 4inch heels. The dress RRP's for £2500, has been specialist cleaned, which cost £200, and is in excellent condition (dress naturally has slight marks on very bottom from wear on the day of my wedding but they would never be noticed).
