The Dress

This gorgeous romantic gown was designed by the Hilde Heim team who took my ideas and turned it into my dream 'one of a kind' wedding gown. While it's difficult for me to part with as it holds such wonderful memories, I'd rather not have it hanging in my cupboard unused for the next 50 years. Hopefully, this dress can be part of someone else dream wedding!

THE DETAILS:
Underneath the layers of tulle and lace is a hestia strapless gown in Ivory Silk Faille with boned and structured bodice in a softly falling bias cut skirt with small train (protecting the tulle and preventing anything getting caught up in the layers).

The tulle skirt consists of 6 layers of soft glimmer tulle falling over the silk faille dress - 1 nude, 3 coffee, 2 blush - creating a unique colour that's difficult to pick up in photos - a dusty pink. The skirt colour is a lot darker than it appears in the photos. The tulle drops out into a small train that can be bustled up with ribbons at the reception which I was going to do but it really wasn't an issue and I just left it down.

The bodice is french chantille corded lace over the silk faille sweetheart lining - tipping the shoulder with 3/4 sleeves. The lace is scolloped at the sleeves, neck line and over the tulle at the bottom of the bodice.

The silk sash belt matches the skirt colour and ties in a bow at the back, falling with long ends into the folds of the soft folds of tulle. This could easily be removed if you preferred the dress without it.

It truly was my dream dress and I received so many compliments on the day and months after. The quality of the dress is evident when you see it and it was so comfortable to wear. The movement in the lace meant that I could move my arms freely without fear of ripping. The dress was worn for 7 hours only and is in such good condition with the smallest hole in the bottom layer of tulle that would be difficult to find and could be mended easily. It was dry-cleaned immediately afterwards.
