The Dress

This is a classically beautiful strapless sweetheart wedding dress with an A-line skirt that flows from the waist. The fabric is pearl mikado which is a structured fabric that looks great in photos but is not too heavy. I chose the dress because I got married in quite a grand venue and I wanted a simple dress that would still make a big impact. I felt fantastic on the day and got lots of lovely compliments. The dress was professionally altered from a size 8 to fit me (size 6 top, 5 foot 5 inches tall). The amount of fabric in the skirt was reduced as was the length of the train. I had some of the nets in the underskirt removed to reduce the volume but wore a hooped underskirt to retain the shape of the dress throughout the day. I also replaced the diamante belt with a simple gold ribbon (as shown in the pictures) but I have kept the diamante belt should you wish to use it.
