The Dress

Hello, my wedding dress is by Australian designer Wendy Makin, I purchased my dress for my wedding in Oxford, October 2016. It is a size 12 and has been worn only once. It was dry cleaned after use and is in excellent condition.

The dress is very beautiful and I received lots of complements on the day, I even heard a 'gasp' as I walked down the aisle. My friends and family loved it because it was different but traditional at the same time, I kept the dress a secret from everyone so it was a wonderful surprise on the day.

It looks amazing in the photos which were taken on a very grey day. In real life the colours and fabric is stunning. The silk material is good quality and the floral design is hand painted watercolour with ivory, pale pink, hints of fuchsia and grey. This meant I could match bridesmaids dresses and ties very easily. It also has embodied touches which added a little extra something.

The dress is comfortable and the train is manageable and easy to walk in. The dress stayed up all day and night and I didn't find myself adjusting the bust at all. The back of the dress finishes mid way up the back and has pearl buttons. And the best bit about the dress.... it has POCKETS!

It is truly a unique dress and I would love to see it go to another happy owner.

The dress was taken in at the waist and shortened. ( I'm a 5ft 4.) I also had a ribbon added to bustle the train of the dress.
