This dress was the first dress I tried on and I loved it! I tried others after that, but still came back to this one, due to it's simple elegance, delicate fabric and subtle beading. I'm only 4'10" (147cm) in height, so couldn't go for a massive puffy style gown (!), I wanted something fitted, yet flowing. This dress was a very flattering fit and even after the alterations to take a lot of material off of the length to fit me (!), it still looked just as elegant. I wore 3" heels with this dress and it just skimmed above the floor, so would suit someone of 5'1" in flats, or someone shorter, like me, in heels. As I did not want to go completely strapless, I had a halter strap made from the chiffon fabric that was taken off of the dress length, and beading added to it, as per the beading on the dress. The dress can be worn with or without the strap; it is simply attached by small buttons hidden behind the bust edge. I had bra cups sown into the dress, so that I could wear it without a bra; it was much more comfortable that way (I'm a 32B). As the dress has a corset style lace-up back, there is some flexibility with regards to bust and waist size, and if you need to let it out a little after the wedding breakfast, you can do! :-)
There was originally a button attached to the underskirt, in order to fix the chiffon train up out of the way for dancing, however this came off, so a new button and loop would be required if you wanted to fix the train up. The dress has been dry cleaned and stored in a dress bag since I used it.
