The Dress

Congratulations to all future brides reading this. I wore this intricately crafted, gorgeous dress, custom made by Steven Khalil. It was blindingly beautiful, and helped me feel so very special. I hope the next person will love it as much as I do!

Deceptively simple, this creamy ivory dress that photographs beautifully has couture detailing with the finest Valentino lace and exquisite overlaid appliqués. The underneath dupion silk is cream, and the overlay lace and veil are both white, which works to photograph white in the sunlight and with a filter. Indoors, the dress looks creamier. There is slight beading in the centre of the 3D flower appliqués on the lower part of the skirt. Its sweetheart neckline, low back, trumpet/mermaid silhouette, and train, both flatters and elongates. The statement Steven Khalil Spanish-mantilla spot-tulle veil with scalloped edges is not only breathtakingly beautiful, it is also suitable for both chapel and cathedral ceremonies. It is a white and can be sold separately. Also comes with a lace flat lay hair piece that can be worn underneath the veil on the side, or without the veil at the reception; made of pieces of the appliqué.

And when you are ready to dance the night away, the easily raised train will be very much appreciated.

I am an AU/UK size 10 (US size 6), 165cm (5ft 6in), and a size C cup. There is absolutely no need to wear a bra. This dress is so well constructed that even a trampoline would not have caused the neckline to budge an inch. I wore 10cm Louboutin heels.

The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and boxed.
