The Dress

The dress designer is Oscar de la Renta, and it is a strapless modified A-line ivory gown with a long Watteau train. The entire dress is silk radzimir, and it extremely light weight because the dress consists of only one layer of fabric (not multiple underneath layers). The quality of the silk is what allows the dress to keep its structure.

There is a show stopping long train that can be bustled for dancing. An internal corset runs from bust to hip, providing a perfect amount of support and that cinched in waist look. There is an internal double zip, so I felt extremely comfortable and secure in this gown and it still allowed for plenty of movement on the dance floor.

The dress happened to be designed for Kate Bosworth, and he later incorporated the design into his Signature Bridal Collection. Therefore, videos and additional information about the dress can be found on many sites, including VOGUE.

This dress was professionally altered and professionally dry cleaned. The alternations are what allow the dress to bustle beautifully, as you can see in the photos, and were done in house at Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier in House.
