The Dress

This dress is extremely elegant and a delight to wear. The colour is ivory over nude. It has a dramatic illusion lace back, and it was the beauty of the design of the back which drew me to it. It has beautiful illusion sleeves which provide just the right amount of cover for the arms. There is a hand-embellished sheath gown, glimmering with metallic lace appliqués, which shimmer under evening disco lights, and it is embroidered with beading from shoulder to hem. The bottom of the dress is finished with a delicate scalloped hemline. There are pearl buttons over zipper back closure, a zip enclosure is very handy when getting ready.

It moves beautifully and the train is not so long that it is a hindrance, but it's long enough to provide a very elegant look. I didn't bustle the dress until well into the evening and I only did that to protect it from damage.

I have proof of purchase and the Maggie Sottero certificate which confirms the authenticity of the dress. The dress has no damage at all and has been professionally dry cleaned, I have kept the receipt as proof.

The waist was taken in slightly. The shoulders were also taken in. No other alterations were made. I am 5ft 8 and wore 2 inch heels on the day and the length was perfect. I am a size 12 top and size 14 bottom, so I was very surprised that I opted for a sheath type dress as I thought I would end up with a more A-line type dress.
