The Dress

This stunning dress was designed and made in New Zealand by an experienced Christchurch-based dress-maker - I loved wearing the dress on the day, it was very comfortable, and I got a huge number of compliments! I am saddened to part with it, but excited to see it become part of another beautiful story.

The bodice lace has real crystal, hand-sewn selectively, and continuing down the fitted section of the dress to below the hips, giving a very complimentary shape. High quality chiffon then continues into a small train, creating a dramatic and striking overall look. A hook has been cleverly attached so that the train is able to be pinned up when necessary (like when dancing!) and I found it was a very practical feature.

The dress has been professionally cleaned, has no stains or tears.

My size: Bust: 90cm D Cup size Waist: 73cm Hips: 96cm. I am 158cm tall and wore 4 1/2 inch heels.

I have spoken to the dress maker, and she has advised that the dress has enough seam allowance to go up at least one size. She has also kindly offered to do a size alteration on this dress for just $75! I will be happy to put the purchaser in touch with her. Happy to throw in the garment bag as well.
