The Dress

My favourite thing about this dress is the intricate Chantilly lace - handmade in France. I really wanted lace but found I was drowning in most other lace dresses I tried .. this was subtle enough for me not to get lost in. I've included a close up but the photo doesn't do it justice.

My next favourite thing was how incredibly comfortable it was to wear. A well hidden zip up at the back, so no need to fuss about with buttons. The corset is tight enough to hold everything where it should without being uncomfortable and although there are a few different layers of tulle etc underneath the dress, I was still able to move easily (and more importantly) scoot to the bathroom without a fanfare of bridesmaids assisting me.

The dress bustles at the back with tiny ribbons, which was great for dancing later on.

The lace at the top of the dress is scalloped so it adds a softening touch to the strapless design.

The colour is not pure white, but a softer creamy colour.

I'm sad to put this up for sale but can't bear the thought of it never being worn again - hopefully someone will enjoy it as much as I did.

My understanding is there's a bit of room to let the dress out if need be (but you'd have to check with your tailor).

It was also slightly long on me so someone slightly taller could still get away with wearing it.

The dress has professionally dry cleaned and come up beautifully. There are a few dirt/grass stains on the underlayers which cannot be seen, and there's a tear in the underlayer which has been repaired (again you can't observe this looking at the dress).
