I am selling my beautiful dress and veil custom made in Paris by designer Laure de Sagazan.

Both items are in excellent condition and have been professionally dry cleaned straight after my wedding. I wore these just once for my wedding in March 2014. Since then they have been stored in acid-free tissue in a custom heirloom box designed to preserve the material.

This dress is a classic, simple and elegant style, which is what drew me to it! It is the perfect dress if you are looking for something that is modern but still romantic and feminine – without being over the top or too fussy.

Made from long silk crepe with cross over straps at the back and lace detail at the front. It features a slightly drop waist, a low back with lace and button-up detail at the small of the back.

The veil is a long, classic style designed with a simple clip so it will suit nearly any hair style. It features beautiful hand made lacework along the edges. I wore this just for the ceremony in the church and then removed for the reception and party.

The dress is really so comfortable and you can spend your special day and evening feeling wonderful! It also has the ability to ‘button up’ the hem for when you want to dance right into the night!

I purchased this dress directly from the designer’s atelier in Paris. It took four months and three fittings to hand make in Paris using stunning fluid French silk and lace. It was totally worth it especially as I really struggled to find any dresses that felt right, and this was perfectly understated yet still really chic.

The dress is a UK size 8 and the length was tailored to my height / shoes – I am 165cm and wore 9cm heels. I think this could also suit an AU10 with a smaller bust due to the nature of the style.

The dress and veil together originally cost EUR3,700 (approx. AU$5,500 at the time)
